About Us

We are called to love God and love our neighbor.  The church does a great job of teaching us how to love God, however often lacks teaching us and modeling for us who our neighbor is and how we can love them.  We are not experts in the topic and are still learning.  So, we are exploring what it means to love your neighbor as yourself….and in the process hope to help us think about practical and creative ways we can get to know our neighbors, our communities, those around us…and love them, because He first loved us.

For those of you who are following Miss Marti’s House, please keep reading! It tells our personal story and shares our life in Southern Barton Heights in Richmond, Virginia.  It’s a way of life, not a not-for-profit ministry.  It’s about how Marti found herself living in the inner city of Richmond, Virginia….learning to love and be loved by my neighbor.  For more on our personal story, check out Miss Marti’s House.

…into the neighborhood is about living incarnationally, on God’s mission. It’s how we do it.  How others do it.  And how you can do it.  It’s about preparing and equipping one another to be good neighbors, because we are all learning and will continue to learn.  It’s a dialogue on the gift of hospitality and loving your neighbor.

This has come out of the work we have been doing for the last few years, where we have been asked to mentor/coach others, to speak at conferences, missions groups and churches, and to bring in nationally known community developers and other speakers.
